This version is on adultfanfic and you have to agree to enter/put in your birthdate (you don't have to create an account - just pretend/let them know you're over 18) - someone may have a link to it on another site.
Closer (http://astudyinpink.livejournal.com/2982.html) by sallycandance - Sherlock (yep, BBC!verse) uses John's injury to, ahem, get closer to him.
