ACD Watson leaves

Watson was helping Holmes on a case and there was another guy there. I think he was either very smart, or acted like another Watson by telling Sherlock how wonderful and amazing he was. Sherlock gets mad at Watson and tells him to leave (I think, or Watson just leaves because he is annoyed). So he does. Watson goes to a pub and finds the guy they are looking for. He gives chase, but the bad guy gets away. Watson returns to the pub only to hear Sherlock yelling at the coppers that they need to extend their search, and Lestrade says, "We can't just for the sake of one man." Watson thinks they are talking about the bad guy, and he goes up to Sherlock and apologizes for leaving, and that he was able to find the bad guy but lost him. Sherlock doesn't care, he's just glad Watson is back. They go home.

Any ideas?
