Canon!verse or BBC!verse -- please point me to some good stories about the three-year-hiatus and/or Empty House aftermath? Desperate want to see how Holmes' "death" affected/hurt Watson and Holmes comfort...Preferrably slash but will equally gladly take gen! Oh and anything other than KCS! Have you read the Doctor Watson, Police Surgeon series by Bartimus_Crotchety (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1574624/Bartimus_Crotchety). It's gen, ACD canon, about Lestrade hiring Watson to work for the Yard after Mary's death and how Watson really wasn't doing all that well. The series continues through Holmes' return.
