Know of any sad fics?

All I ask is for any Holmes/Watson fics that will make me cry! Slash is always preferred and I'd rather it be RDJ movies or ACD verse, but I'm not real fussed. Thanks guys :)

If you don't mind some self-promotion...

The Ghost and Mr. Holmes

Major character death in the first few pages!

OMG. This really is a sad one. I remember it well. (sob)

Thank you! It was my first attempt at Holmes fic.

I've got a couple that might fit the bill... all of these involve character death and are mostly slash.

Sight (RDJ verse)
Shattered (ACD verse)
Consumed (ACD)
Repercussions (RDJ)
Whimper (ACD)

Others of mine that are generally angsty though perhaps not enough to make one cry. ;)
Abysm (ACD)
Confession (ACD)
Unforgiven (ACD, also character death)
Melancholia (ACD)

Fics by other people:

Alone On The Water (BBC, guaranteed tear-jerker)
His Last Bow (BBC)
there we'll find peace (categorized as RDJ, but can read as ACD) --the author of this has some other good fics

Have you read Katie Forsythe's ACD fic? Gorgeous, heart-wrenching stuff. Sign of Change/Cauldron: A Love Letter and The Presbury Letters always move me to tears, especially when I listen to the podfic.

Here's a great pair from Tweedisgood: To A Doctor's wife http://archiveofourown.org/works/131343 and its equally tear-jerking sequel, Frail Memorial http://archiveofourown.org/works/261164

Keep a hanky handy!
