Sherlock speaking french

A story set in Victorian times, book canon as far as I recall. Holmes speaks french though usually he only uses it to curse in so when he and Watson get together and Holmes tells him how much he loves and adores him in French, Watson assumes he is just swearing. It leads to some misunderstandings with Watson believing that Holmes doesn't have any feelings for him. This might just be a small part in a much larger story with actual plot, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know this? Thanks!

This one has French and misunderstandings (and it was conveniently in my bookmarks). http://www.excessant.com/HI/fiction/jems_bird/french_lessons.htm

I don't have a bookmark or anything, but I remember a BBC fic similar to this, only the misunderstanding came from Sherlock pronouncing John as Jean, so John assumed there was someone else...
