John is Sherlock and Mycroft's nanny. It's only a oneshot, not the series. It has John having flashbacks while he ages, and I remember there was one where little Sherlock was throwing a fit because John was going away for a while. John is BAMF even as an old geezer, but eventually dies of cancer with Sherlock and Mycroft at his deathbed in the hospital. Very angsty. Has anyone seen this wonderfully sad fic?
