Watson + Someone Else

Hello,
Can you recommend some stories where Watson meets or was meeting someone else (bonus points for man), has feeling for that person, but he is also in the relationship with Holmes?

I also lost one story, I don't remember it exactly, I believe after Hiatus Watson met French detective which felt in love with Watson. They went to France and there they met Holmes? I think it was rather a long story.
