AU fic where Sherlock and John meet before or when John is still in the army

Hi!

I'm looking for a very vague fic: all I remember is that John and Sherlock meet when John is still a soldier (or maybe before he became one). They get together and there is a scene after John is shot in Afghanistan where one of his superior decides to call Sherlock himself to tell him the news. One of his subordinate makes a derogatory comment about John being gay and the general/colonel shuts him up.
