Sherlock has to take care of John

  I know this is really vague, but the fic I've lost has been bothering me for a while and I just can't seem to find it! All I remember is John is in the hospital for some reason and Sherlock is taking him home and he tells John about his pet goldfish he accidentally killed to hint at the fact that he can't take care of things well. Yeah. Any help would be really really awesome. C:

Ha! I will be no help at all here, but this reminds me of that old joke.

"John, your goldfish is dead."

"Sherlock, for God's sake! Couldn't you have broken it to me gently? I loved that goldfish!"

"What should I have said?"

"Well, you could have told me that her bowl needed cleaning. And you took her out and put her in the sink. And then eventually you could have told me that she got sick from some of the chemical experiments you'd done in the sink. And then, when I'd got used to the idea of that, you could have told me that she'd died."

"I'm sorry, John. I will attempt to be more considerate."

"Good. That's all I ask. Now, how's Mrs. Hudson?"

"...Her bowl needs cleaning."
