okay, so i thought I had saved this fic, but obviously it got lost in my recent computer crash. i still remember it very well. it went somehow like this:
A waitress is killed and Sherlock deduces that the attack was meant for her roommate, who they are unable to find at the moment. They watch CCTV footage, but there's nothing on it, but they find out that the roommate left with some guy on a motorcycle. Gladstone appears at some point (i think he hid in the closet in the apartment or sth), but he is a Jack Russel Terrier or sth along those lines and John takes him in. They look arround in some specific part of town (I think Wiggins makes an appearance also). oh yeah and they interview a prostitude (she has a daughter) that looks exactly like the girl that vanished and she tells them some guy paid her loads to sit in the park with her, but he didn't speak to her. There is a mention of him having a tattoo (sth to do with Columbia I think).
Anyway, so the case ends like this: The girl studied meteorology and so some friend of her's leaves messages of that nature on the wall/poster she can see from a tiny room she's hiding in (some formula for clouds). The roommate was really her lover. The girl is the daughter of some important guy at the Met and some ppl want to blackmail him for her safety. The guy from the park belongs to some Columbian drugs ring and some fellow police officer is in on it. (I distantly remember John telling Sherlock to stay at Scotland Yard while he gets him food and then the Columbian Met guy appears and takes him away. There is a bomb as well I think. John sees him leave and draws the right conlclusions.) There is also a shop with a strange name that John repeatedly comments on. John keeps Gladstone in the end.
it was defenitely a Sherlock/John fic.
omg sorry, detailed description is detailed, but i loved the story and I really really want to find it again! pls help!
