Kidnapped Watson

I am looking for a specific kidnapped!Watson fic. It was either book or movie canon and in it Watson had been kidnapped; Holmes and the police track down where he had been held, but it burned down and they think he might be dead. However, unbeknownst to them, Watson had managed to escape by throwing himself out of a moving cab.

It was a fairly long story, probably gen, and I think I read it on ff.net. Anyone have any ideas which story this might be?
