holmes_finders | I am lost and confused! /Missing fic

Good evening everyone,

First, pleased to meet you.

Second, as I mentioned above, I seem to have... misplaced a wonderful fanfiction implying our darlings Holmes and Watson. I do not remember if it was outright slash or pre-slash or gen, but the most striking point of the story is: Holmes is an alien. I remember that they are running after some criminal and at some point Holmes gets shot( in the head?). By all means, it should be a fatal wound, but he somehow does not die right away. Thus, naturally, Watson decides to bash open Holmes' skull with a rock in order to save the real Holmes (who turns out to be a squishy thing with tentacles, the kind everyone love, that lived in a borrowed human body) because, of course, that is the normal thing to do.

I also remember that later on, a grievously wounded squishy!Holmes is put in a bath and communicates with Watson through adorable tentacle wiggles! Oh, and Mrs. Hudson is an alien too. Small detail, nothing too important or surprising there. Certainly.

I believe it was set in Guy Ritchie's verse, but I am not sure. It was definitely a Victorian affair.

I think that is all I can remember for now. Any sightings( and linkings?!) of the elusive fickle fic would be tremendous help and would be much, much appreciated. It was still a WIP when I first read it and I don't know how the story ends! It's tragic, terrible!

Otherwise, I am not too sure about the tags I employed, but, well, the bashing bit was slightly gory and there were tentacles implied so here we are.
