Hello there, hope I'm doing this right! The idea got stuck in my head, and now I’m very interested in stories where threats against Watson are used against Holmes. Just anything dealing with how much Watson means to Holmes and the villains using that to their advantage. Even fics with Watson being sick and Holmes scared would be welcome! I have a soft spot for the movie!verse and canon, but anything will do! I also really like Holmes/Watson, but gen is fine. :)

Anything along those lines would be great. Thank you in advanced.

Jenlee's Leverage is completely fantastic. Long, plotty, incredibly well-written, and slashy (but not crazily so - I love me some crazy slash, but this is subtle and beautiful and very, very IC).

Enjoy! The link takes you to chapter one (of TEN!!)

Of course there's this comm:

For all your Whumped!Watson needs. Not a lot of slash over there, but a lot of H/C for our poor doc.

I love stories where Watson is used against Holmes and sick!/hurt!Watson fics.

Here's a couple sick!/hurt!Watson fics:

http://hoc-voluerunt.livejournal.com/1853.html

Summary: Watson suffers a relapse of enteric fever right as he figures out that Holmes' current client was actually poisoned. Holmes is sufficiently worried.

And a captured Watson fic.

I'm still looking through my bookmarks to see if I have anymore RTYI, so if you want more let me know.

Okay, I'll continue looking (I know I've read some really good ones, but not all of them are bookmarked).

I'll sit down tonight and look for them of you don't mind the wait. :)

In the meantime, have you read "The Case of The Stolen Doctor"? I haven't, but it's on my to read list (it's 48K after all). It's about Moriarty kidnapping Watson.
Here's the link if you haven't:

Culverton Smith seems to be a favoured villain for this kind of fic!! :) There are three I can think of off the top of my head with him:

1) Vows made in storms (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4090135/1/Vows_Made_in_Storms) by Protector of the Gray Fortress is a really great canon!verse fic. Sadly it's gen, but it's still awesome S/J interaction ;)

2) The Return of Culverton Smith (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1133638/1/The_Return_of_Culverton_Smith) by Gina Martin and Maura Kelly is one of my favourite h/c fics...it's gen as well though :p

3) And the very well-known and quite extraordinary Undiscovered Country (http://liquidfic.org/undiscovered.html), by Katie Forsythe. I suppose you've already heard of Katie, but if you haven't well go and read all of her fics, you won't regret it <3

Another fic (and author) I absolutely adore is Winter in London (http://w-a-i-d.livejournal.com/tag/winter%20in%20london), by w_a_i_d; it deals with rape relatively explicitely (although I don't remember anything graphic) so proceed with all due caution ;)

Apart from that, there are the shorter but still really enjoyable Forgotten (http://watsons-woes.livejournal.com/4767.html) and To Catch a Mackerel (http://holmeswatson09.livejournal.com/719278.html#cutid1).

I hope you haven't read all of those and that you'll enjoy some of them!! :)
