Watson thought dead

Set in victorian verse. I only remember a key scene: Holmes/Watson and the yard are waitimg for a group of criminals. Watson is subdued and then hung by a rope in (i think) a barn. He is thought dead.

Also, if anyone can recommend any 'watson thought dead' fics(any verse) I would be thankful.

I was wondering if there are any Sherlock Holmes/Highlander crossover fics?

Any time period would be most welcome, but I would mostly like BBC era. What would also be cool is if John was already an Immortal when he meets Sherlock, who is a pre-immortal.

If Duncan MacLeod and/or Methos were somehow included that would be awesome.
