It couldn't have been easy growing up for Sherlock. Are there any angsty fics that deal with Sherlock's school years?

I've not read any, so not quite sure what I would like. If you think it's awesome, I'd love to read it.

Do you guys know of a story where Sherlock is in a relationship and asks John for advice, but John doesn't realize that Sherlock is actually in an abusive relationship and tells him to put the other person first sometimes or something like that?

Hi there! I'm looking for well-written fics that focus on the relationship between John and Sherlock (slash or gen, either is great), but seen from a third person's POV, preferably Lestrade's or Mycroft's. I'm totally new to the fandom, so it's a pretty safe bet that I won't have read even the most famous stories - but I'd love to! No spoilers for The Hounds of Baskerville or The Reichenbach Fall, though, please, since I haven't managed to see those yet!
