Alpha/Omega verse/BBC Sherlock AU

I have discovered the Alpha/Omega verse and I really like what I have read so far. Is there a story where this verse started? Is it just a Sherlock verse or are there other fandomes? If someone could suggest some good fics it would make me very happy. Thanks
P.S. mods, there isn't a tag for Alpha/Omega and I'm not sure what other tags I should use.

As far as I know Alpha/Omega started in the Supernatural kinkmemes about a year ago and has moved on to many fandoms. From what I've seen following the Sherlock kinkmeme there is no one starting verse, it was just prompted many different times and various stories have popped up.
