Apologetic Sherlock?
Mar. 14th, 2012 08:39 pmI really have had it up to here with Reichenbach angst. I know this is going to go on for a while yet, but maybe a specific type of fiction would function to help with the pain ...
I know it is terribly, terribly OOC (and probably Out Of Canon too) but has anyone found any stories where our Consulting Detective turns back up and actually says sorry, or even just tries to make it up to John?
Pretty please?

Date: 2012-03-15 09:02 am (UTC)The problem with Sherlock is that if he is being written (or thought about) in a certain way he can have the tendency to reappear with a flourish and make nothing of it.
Poor long suffering John (or Watson) has to take it in his stride.
I also think as we are waiting for Messrs Gattis and Moffatt to actually tell us how THEY did it (and can’t avoid what is happening on Twitter or Tumblr) that makes it all a bit theoretical for writers.
However (IMHO) if Sherlock DOES care for those he saved he will manage both of what we wish. He will take the time and have the patience to say sorry AND explain why he had to do it.
That will mean there will be no need for violence, and I DO so hope that won't happen on screen because I do so not like violence myself.
