Angst, Death and Reichenbach

I am in need of some serious angst.

Post-Reichenbach. Sherlock returns to find that:

John has died.

John is dying.

John won't forgive him.

John has been permanently injured in some way.

John is missing.

Ooh, I'm totally tracking this to see what other people suggest. :) I know I've read a few that might work, but can't remember where I found them... argh.

I've written two that may be of interest:
-Watson is dying, Consumed (though Holmes doesn't find out right away after he returns)
-Watson won't forgive him, Unforgiven
(I suppose I should mention these both involve character death...)
