Hello!

I just rewatched GoS and now I'm craving some good fics. Specially hurt/comfort with Homes being the one that's hurting.

Can anyone rec me?

Thank you in advance!!!

aGoS and aGoS-inspired fic:

The most natural thing (http://jenlee1.livejournal.com/10767.html)
Summary: Train car, post-munitions factory. Missing scene from AGoS. "'Oh, Holmes,' his friend whispers, fingers tightening unconsciously on his wrist and he shakes his head once, hard. Don’t. If Watson speaks the words, he will have to stop and think."

Finally the thief grew weary of waiting (http://shkinkmeme.livejournal.com/9194.html?thread=21485546#t21485546)
Summary: One day Holmes hears Die Forelle somewhere and has a horrible flashback and freaks out.

The art of disguise (http://shkinkmeme.livejournal.com/9194.html?thread=20895722#t20895722)
Summary: Missing aGoS scene. "At Reichenbach he sends Sim and Tamas ahead to warn Mycroft of their arrival and trudges along behind, with his friend's left arm draped across the back of his neck. They start out strong, but it's less than five minutes before Holmes is stumbling, dragging his feet in the snow and clutching Watson round the shoulders with a desperate strength."

The Queen's men (http://shkinkmeme.livejournal.com/9194.html?thread=20382698#t20382698)
Summary: "Holmes recoiled with the force of the projectile as so many men had before. Desert or forest, the location made no difference when iron pierced flesh. Graceful arms flailed as his knees gave, sending the detective to ground."

There are quite a few aGoS fics on the kinkmeme (http://shkinkmeme.livejournal.com/) Parts XII and XIII, in particular those centering on the hook scene ;)

General movie-verse fic:

Broken Substitutes (http://zarah5.livejournal.com/56942.html)
Summary: Death and loss, hurt and comfort, Moriarty, drugs, addictions and sex that is a means to an end, until it isn’t anymore.
Warning: It's perhaps heavy on Watson's PoV and Watson's share of the h/c, but there's plenty to go around for both of them. Well worth the read, in any case.

Field of Dreams (http://gideonhw09.livejournal.com/2353.html)
Summary: “He has to be quiet. He has to, or he’s going to tell them where the girl is and everything he and Watson have done for the past three weeks to guard her and conceal her from them will be for naught.”
Warning: Very much on the hurt side of h/c. Non-con.

Anything by [livejournal.com profile] candle_beck is amazing. Hurt-comforty fics include:

The other way of the world (http://candle-beck.livejournal.com/141565.html)
Summary: "Something had happened. Holmes arrived home in wet clothes one night, shaking with his hands and face as white as bone. Watson saw him only briefly, coming out of his room and down the first few steps with his friend's name bright in his mouth, for they had not seen each other in a fortnight. His voice arrested as he got a look at Holmes, thinking with a quizzical detachment that would have made the detective proud: it's not raining."

A terribly poor understanding of love (http://candle-beck.livejournal.com/146371.html)
Summary: "Four days after his marriage, John Watson came to call on his old friend Sherlock Holmes. They had tea. They discussed the weather, the density of the yellow pea soup fog drowning the city. The conversation lagged at several moments, and between them long silences grew like jungle vines, wrapping around their ankles, binding their wrists to the chairs. Holmes moved in small precise ways, his fingers light on his cup and saucer, betraying nothing. Watson didn't quite meet his eyes."

Lastly, though perhaps not entirely in the spirit of your request, I cannot help but rec this breathtaking fic:

Winter in London (http://w-a-i-d.livejournal.com/748.html)
Summary: Watson tries to live with the memory of a terrible bargain in secrecy. "It was unquestionably necessary. I can hear violin music from downstairs. I have nothing to regret."
Warning: It's Watson who bears the brunt of the h portion of h/c here, but Holmes is certainly not unaffected by this. Non-con. Characterization is perhaps closer to Canon than Movieverse, but I think it can be read either way.
