Watson gets re-enlisted into the Army (against Holmes' wish)

Hi! I'm looking for a fic in which Holmes and Watson have an established slash relationship, and there is war brewing. Watson receives a letter (via message boy or post, I forget) telling him that he must serve in military again in this war. Watson heads off to war, and Holmes asks Mycroft if anything can be done to get Watson back home.

Holmes really wants Watson back home, but Watson kinda has a sense of pride about serving in the military. Eventually Watson does get cut from the Army (the official reason being that he is disabled, I think), and comes home to Baker Street. Watson is bummed and feeling inferior and angsty. When he finds out Holmes was the one who reported him as disabled (or something like that), Watson gets mad at Holmes but of course all is forgiven in the end.

I'm quite sure it;s movie-verse, or at least Victorian.
Might have been on the shkinkmeme, I'm not sure.
Decent length fic, split over 5 or so chapters.

Please help, it was a really good fic! Very meaty and oh-so-lovely angsty with the emotions from the two of them.

I remember a scene where Watson is putting on his old army uniform, and Holmes is in the room. Holmes asks how he feels, and Watson says something like "I feel brave" (etcetc) after he detects no hint of laughing-it-off from Holmes.

Another scene is the night before Watson must leave-- Holmes stops into the tobaccoist, buys Watson's favorite brand and tells the tobaccoist there is no need to inquire about Watson for some time, he'll be away for a while.

It's probably not the right one, because it's been ages since I read it and I don't know if the story elements you mentioned are in it or not, but it does involve Watson serving in the War.
