The fic is set a little before our time, I think, and is about John and Sherlock meeting in america in the country. I remember reading a fic rec where it was said "This absolutely should not work. Yet it does" :D

John was living not far from a little house where Mrs. Hudson lived, and further up the hill was Sherlocks big spooky house. Mrs. Hudson sometimes cooked for him or did his laundry.
There was a scene where Mrs. Hudson implored John to go the the dance in town, if not she would know about it, to socialize and that´s where John met Sherlock.
It was also a case fic with some pretty interesting turns, also featuring Professor Moriarty XD
Anyone has ideas?
