Me again : )
I'm looking for Bamf Mycroft fics that show off Mycroft's deducing skills-maybe he assists the police while Sherlock is presumed dead, or comes in to assist when Sherlock's been kidnapped, or something. Basically, fics where people realize Sherlock really isn't the most intelligent Holmes brother at all.

Have you read Promise to the Living by deklava? It's Post Reichenbach, but the best story post that even that I have ever read.
