I have a recs list of recs lists (http://shadowfireflame.livejournal.com/59122.html) where I've compiled all the ones for BBC Sherlock I've found useful. Hope it helps!
Seconding the rec for 221b recs. It's mainly Sherlock with a decent amount of ACD, but there are bits of Elementary and others. I'm the pinboard archivist for the comm, and if you're looking for something in particular, the pinboard is a good place to look. The tagging is a lot more consistent. I'm in the middle of updating the pinboard right now, since I didn't get anything done on it over Christmas/New Year, but if you call there in a day or two it should be up to date with the comm itself.

I also have a few personal rec lists on Dreamwidth: Canon, Granada and Ritchie Holmes recs (http://iamshadow.dreamwidth.org/366712.html) Sherlock Recs - Modern Retellings of ACD stories (http://iamshadow.dreamwidth.org/353725.html) Sherlock Rec Post of Doom (http://iamshadow.dreamwidth.org/327991.html)
There maybe be a bunch of broken links, since they're a few years old now, but there are some gems on there from early fandom like Baskerville by elapsedspiral that never get recced, but are really good reads. In Baskerville's case it's obscure because it turned up in the first rush of fandom, and because the author posted the chapters all over the place and never fixed it.
