I read this story several months ago. I think on Archive of Our Own. The big thing I remember in the story is that John is for some reason going home to visit his parents (not a furneral) and SHerlock tags along. To John's suprise his parents love Sherlock. They aren't in a real realationship at the begining of the story but our by the end. I think at one point John's mom drags them to a flower show. It's also possible they are pretending to be in a realtionship but I am not sure about that.

Does anyone recognize this? I would take other recommendations for friends to lovers fics. I love the slow build up.

Hey everyone!

To celebrate the (impending) end of finals week, I'm looking for fics in which John doesn't understand why Sherlock loves him, and needs to be convinced, because he thinks he's not at all special enough for Sherlock. Anything permutation on that is fine, given that it's Sherlock/John. No specs on length, rating etc. As long as it's John not understanding Sherlock's attraction, because he's not unattractive or anything, and he's fairly confident, but Sherlock is a miracle, and why him?

Yes, this was roughly inspired by "Entirely Covered in Your Invisible Name" by Wordstrings, which is a fic that makes me weak at the knees no matter how many times I've read it. :)

Hi everyone!

I've looked through the archives and read everything that's vaguely matched my request, so I'm putting this out there in hope of snagging something I haven't yet seen.

I'm looking for fics in which John is more sexually experienced than Sherlock is, and shows him the ropes when they're in bed. Or on the couch. Or in an alley way. You get the idea. Not necessary that he tops, I'm good with anything. I'm also good with any kink you'd care for. I don't need virgin!Sherlock, just, John showing something he's never seen before, and blowing his mind. Feel free to include angst and shyness and any other theme except non-con, please.

Hello guys!

I seem to have misplaced a fic in which the only thing I can remember is John putting things in Sherlock's hair.

I really don't know, it was an adorable scene, and I believe established J/S, and John is sliding pencils and pens into Sherlock's hair (where they stay suspended because of how curly his hair is) and when Sherlock finally notices John is giggling and Sherlock says something along the lines of "You find this amusing, do you?"

I don't remember *anything* else except this scene, and that the fic made me feel all cuddly inside. Hideously unspecific, I know, I'm sorry.

Still hoping someone knows what I'm on about.

Hey everyone!

I've realised that when I look for BAMF!John fics, we've got loads of wonderful ones which involve him being a brilliant fighter/tactician and other traits one looks for in a Captain in the Army.

But I'm looking for him being a bloody good Doctor, now. I don't particularly care what the context is, but I'd just like to see him being competent, and efficient, and completely in his element, and shocking (or surprising) everyone who's never seen him like that, despite knowing full well he's a Doctor. Preferably the Met and Sherlock are a little in awe when paramedics listen to him, and when he's the most useful person at the scene of an accident or an attempted murder, or whatever.

I hope such fics exist...

Hi There!

I'm looking for fics in which John and Mycroft are FRIENDS, but nothing more. Maybe if they'd come to respect, or even like each other because of how much they care about Sherlock, and they bond over having to clean up after Sherlock. Things like Mycroft telling John how Sherlock was as a child, and Sherlock being all possessive and getting the wrong idea, and Mycroft and John being all 'oh Sherlock...'. I'd love if there was John/Sherlock included, but if there isn't that's okay as well. Just, no John/Mycroft, please, and preferably no Sherlock bashing.

I hope such a fic exists!

BBC verse, in this story John wants Sherlock, but is convinced he cannot have, because Sherlock is asexual and all that. So John decides he will be as well, he tries to just totally block off that part of his life. To the point that he can't perform when he tries with Sarah and he's no longer engaging in any self-entertainment, so to speak.

For a while it's good, he finds it kind of refreshing actually to not have to think about sex all the time. But eventually things bubble over and Sherlock catches on and there is an exceptionally hot scene where Sherlock convinces John to get himself off (and helps a bit). I remember he'd been essentially celibate for three months at that point and Sherlock is like wow, you idiot, everyone wanks, even me. Although of course he doesn't put it that way.

Does anyone recognize this one?

In this story, which I believe was written shortly after the '09 movie, Holmes and Watson had just begun living together. When Watson comes home late one night inebriated and rent-less (due to gambling?), Holmes decides to use the "lack of funds for coal" front to quite literally insert himself in Watson's bed for warmth. They share a bed for a bit and get closer and have a few awkward sexual encounters that Watson never acknowledges during the day. Finally Watson discovers a bunch of coal that had been delivered but hidden by Holmes to keep up his little facade. Watson gets upset but the two eventually communicate and begin a romantic relationship. I'd very much appreciate any help in tracking this story/author down!

I've read a few stories where only one or two people are magical/have a super special awesome power, but I'm really in the mood where everyone has a power. Where powers are normal/expected rather than "Oh my gosh, you're psychic? Yeah right." I don't care what the powers/abilities are. They could be magical/all vampires/a crossover with HDM etc.

I'd prefer Gen or bromance/pre-slash. ACD!Verse, BBC!verse, and '09!verse only. :)

Hi there! I'm looking for well-written fics that focus on the relationship between John and Sherlock (slash or gen, either is great), but seen from a third person's POV, preferably Lestrade's or Mycroft's. I'm totally new to the fandom, so it's a pretty safe bet that I won't have read even the most famous stories - but I'd love to! No spoilers for The Hounds of Baskerville or The Reichenbach Fall, though, please, since I haven't managed to see those yet!

I kinda totally definitely want ALL the comfort fic you have. Comfort. Romance. Fluff. All of it. Can be established Sherlock/John, or it can be them figuring it all out together and eventually leading to Sherlock/John - whichever. I just want them in relationships, being fluffy, comforting or romantic. Hurt/Comfort is all right also. So is PWP.

(Also, the longer the better - but I'll still read the shortish ones.)

Hello!

I'm looking for a story I read a very long time ago and I have recently remembered it. Unfortunately, I don't have a name, author, or even a summary. So this is what I remember, it's a canon fic where Holmes and Watson have an arguement of some kind that ends with Watson leaving. Watson wanting to get over his friendship/pre-slash relationship with Holmes starts seeing this guy or guys(?). I don't remember if it was an old friend or if it was some stranger that he met somewhere. Anyway, Watson and him kind of click together and want to go out on outings, however, disaster always strickes before the two could meet. What Watson doesn't know is that Holmes is pretty much stalking him and ruining this thing between Watson and this guy. Finally, Holmes confronts Watson and I believe there is a happy ending.

I hope this is enough information to go by with! And if any of you have any other Watson leaving Holmes story in canon-verse please let me know! Thanks so much!

Ok people, I have just (finally) got to see the film tonight and I need some fic on it like absolute burning.

1) Any fics that can't be found on ff.net about this film... and if it focus's a lot on some adorable holmes hurt/comfort I would be most appreciative. Whether because of the obvious, Holmes is upset that Watson in marrying Mary, or because he's been injured, or is upset about his failure to find Morarity; anything at all.

I don't want to say anything else for fear of spoiling for other people.

2) Oh, and can I have some BAMF Watson taking on BAMF Moran in a fight with Holmes, or Moriaty watching and being mesmerised by their respective companions.

3) Any new Holmes/Watson/Mary fics out there?

4) Oh, yes, Mycroft/Lestrade, BBC!VERSE only. Anything to do with them at all. Read all the one's I could find on the kink meme and on FF.net so I'm looking for some new fic. I would like some Shycroft as I believe it has become known. Where despite his posisition as the Bristish government he is increadably shy around Lestrade.

5) And on that note. Any fics where Sherlock leaps to his brothers defense and is genuinely caring for his brother. BBC!verse again please.

6) Also, any Moriaty and Moran slash fics where they are not in some kind of dysfunctional relationship. You know, one's where they go home after a day of being evil, killing people, ruining politions, etc etc, and are just a normal domestic couple. (I will accept other verses for this, but please, no abusive relationships or anything)

7) And lastly, (I swear) Is there a fic out there where John and Lestrade care for Mycroft and Sherlock when they are children?

I'm curious about the existence of Holmes fic (preferably completed longfic or one-shots) either set in Leroux's Phantom of the Opera universe, or crossed over with it? Are there any Phantom AUs, with Sherlock and co. cast in the roles of Erik, Christine and Raoul? Gen/het/slash and Holmes/Watson, Holmes/Watson/Irene and Holmes/Irene accepted/welcomed. The tagged genres are what I'm most interested in reading, but I'm not terribly picky.

Book and '09 movie 'verse please (haven't seen/read any other adaptations yet, though the Sherlock DVDs are on my Christmas wishlist).

I have two requests for you this evening. First, I'm looking for a specific fic. All that I really remember is that it had Moriarty and Moran eating breakfast together and Moriarty waiting until Moran had three cups of coffee to speak. It was pretty adorable.

That said, now I have Moriarty/Moran on the brain. That pairing is one of my not-so-secret kinks and there never seems to be enough.
