I have somehow lost a very rare story; I'm greatly hoping someone can find it. It was a Watson/Lestrade fic, either ACD or Granada verse, and it involved Lestrade and Watson growing closer during the three year hiatus. After Holmes is revealed to be alive, Lestrade goes to see him, because he knows that Holmes will always be more important to Watson, and demands to know if Holmes didn't realize how badly he was hurting Watson, or he just didn't care. I remember that Holmes' reply is something like, "Lestrade, you've fallen in love with my Watson." It ends with Watson moving back into Baker Street, but still remaining with Lestrade. Does this ring any bells?

While I'm on the subject, if anyone knows of any other good fics with Lestrade/Watson interaction, I'd love to see them. Slash or just platonic friendship; I'll take what I can get. But please, ACD or Granada only.

Looking for two types of BBC Sherlock stories:
1. Any fics where Lestrade adopts Sherlock somehow/in someway, or is involved in bringing him up/helps raise kid Sherlock, gets custody of Sherlock, is his foster parent, anything.
2. Any fics where Lestrade is a doctor, or any kind, rather(or as well as) a police officer.

2. Any fics where Sherlock and/or John's trust in Lestrade is demonstrated-ie, Sherlock asks for Lestrade when he's ill, Lestrade talks John down from a flashback, etc.

I just finished re-reading Multiple Groves' wonderful Getting Better series(link below) yet again, and now I'm hankering for any au fics where John and Sherlock are single parents when they meet. I'd love it if both of them are single parents, but just one being a single parent is great too. Thanks!
PS. In a sort of similar vein, I'd love any fics where Lestrade had a kid who died, and Sherlock becomes like his son, if any such fics exist.

Hi. I’m new to the fandom and hoping you all can help me find some fics in the BBC universe.

Any fics, gen or John/Sherlock, where Sherlock is regarded as the very child-like genius that he is. From the perspective of John, Mycroft (brotherly), or even Lestrade (friend/fatherly). He doesn’t know when he needs to sleep, or eat, or how to act in social situations. And if relationships are involved, he is even more confused. Actions that would be taken as romantic by anyone else, Sherlock just sees as him genuinely liking someone and stumblingly trying to show it. He puts himself in danger, frazzling his caretakers, simply because he can’t see past the game, focused, like a child. Things like that. He needs people to look after and protect him.

Would love any help! Thank you!

Hi! I'm looking for fics that contain any of the following:

1) John standing up for Sherlock and/or vice versa.

2) John being sick or dying and Sherlock trying to be his friend. Goodbye, John by XxMildredxX made me cry. Twice. ;~; It doesn't matter if it's platonic, preslash or relationship - I'm just looking for fics where Sherlock shows a sick John that he cares.

3) Sherlock and John showing that they care about each other, like in The Road Trip series by stupid_drawings. Fluff only, please. Bonus points for part-of-the-gang(-for-now)!third person, but not necessary.

4) John being Sherlock's boyfriend from *insert country that is not England here*. I've mostly read about John being Sherlock's Canadian boyfriend, but any not-England!country is fine. While I'm on the topic, I'm also reccing The Internet Is Not Just For Porn by

cyerus because I loved it so very much. ♥

5) Mycroft or NSY being nice to/protective of John.

6) Fluffy Sherlock/John AUs. Can be friendship, preslash or relationship.

7) Sherlock/John fluff. Again, can be friendship, preslash or relationship.

8) Anyone/John bromance. If you don't know what bromance is, it's "a close non-sexual relationship between two (or more) men, a form of homosocial intimacy". As quoted from WikiPedia.

Can you tell who my favourite character in the series is? Yeah. Also, I'd like to apologise for the absurdly long list. I'm so, so sorry. God, self.

I'm going to be going on an 11 hour flight soonish, so I'm on the look out for some nice long fics to put on my kindle for the flight.
I've got Indecorous already, and Infiltrate, and The Progress Of Sherlock Holmes (turns out I'm willing to read first-person narrative when it's the Sherlock fandom). But I need so many more.

Specifically, Sherlock/John, or Sherlock/John/Lestrade poly fics, or Sherlock/John and Lestrade in bromance with them fics. If they're nice and involving, with adventures/crimes/mysteries going on as well as the relationships, all the better. Domestic!fics are good also. AUs are ok (so long as the AU isn't.. too odd - like, I'm not into creature!fic in the slightest, but a fantasy type setting otherwise isn't outside my bounds) though obviously I prefer BBC!canon.

Also, I'm asexual, and have been long searching out all the asexual!Sherlock fics I can find (I have a nice long-ish list now, few of them are long!fic though) and I'm always happy for more, so if you know any nice long ace!Sherlock fics? Yes please.

Basically, I want them long, involving, full of puzzles and relationships - things I can just get totally lost in, to block out the fact that I'm on an aeroplane for 11 hours straight.

Things I dislike: torture!porn (I did read that infamous fic, but I shan't be reading it again - well written or not, it was too much for my triggers to take...) character!death of Sherlock, John, Lestrade or Mycroft. Otherwise, I'm pretty open (and yes, I very happily read NC-17 fic, in fact, I tend to prefer NC-17.)

Hi there!
I am looking for a BBC Sherlock fic where I think Lestrade and Sherlock have been together for a while but John doesn't know. Sherlock gets sick and John goes to check on him and Lestrade is in bed with him. Lestrade says something like "let your old man up" and John tries to work out the relationship between the two. Lestrade is completely nonchalant about like he thinks Sherlock's already told John. It's a short piece but my browser quit on me and I lost all the pages I had open. Thanks in advance!

I just wanted to rec what is possibly the best Holmes AU on the planet. :-D
It's a Holmes/Watson slash fic and in a world loosely based on the sci-fi series Sentinel. It's not a crossover, but Holmes is a sentinel and Watson is a guide. The author used cannon and fannon from the show to expand on the way the sentinel/guide relationship works. It's still in victorian England and the author's dedication to detail is amazing. the story is well paced and LOOOOOOOOOOOOng so far.(WIP) The plot is intricate and pulls you in and in all honesty once you start reading it's hard to stop. But the story is plot heavy and a little wordy so you might have to take a breather in order to get the facts straight because even the smallest details that seem irrelevant come up later.There can be some confusion if you don't pay attention.

I'm rec-ing it because it is by far one of the most unique Holmes AUs that I have EVER come across. So please read and comment because as amazing this fic is, it has a small number of comments and the author doesn't realize how wonderful the fic really is.
So take a look. You won't regret it.
